Ma' I saw a Gator!!!

Hello my friends and family!  Happy Day after Halloween!  It's November, and we are officially off and away into the Holiday Season. And it's actually been quite nice here in Florida. Really not too hot at all!  This has been a FULL week with a lot of things and very spiritually fulfilling. There's a joke in our apartment that feeling the Holy Ghost makes you feel really sleepy. It's why we get sleepy during church sometimes, our hour of personal study, and then most DEFINETLY for General Conference!  So, following that logic, it has been a very tiring week.  It started on Monday where we got to carve pumpkins for our P-Day!  We had a great time sharing in the Halloween Spirit together!  Our pumpkin has been outside our door for the last week and with the humidity and the rain here, let's say it got very moldy and decay-y very quickly!   This week has been full of a lot of different unique experiences!...

Baptisms and Cockroaches

As you can see from the picture...DOMINIC WAS BAPTIZED!!!!!!!  It was AWESOME!!!  He was baptized this last Saturday and then he was confirmed with the Holy Ghost and as a member of the church this last Sunday, so it was a busy weekend. But such a good one!  He is a really chill and cool guy, so when we asked him about stuff he would always typically be pretty chill about things and not say much. But after we confirmed him on Sunday he was like, "Woah. That was powerful stuff man!"  And all 3 of us were like, "That's the power of the Holy Ghost man!!"  It was such a unique experience to even be the one who baptized him myself!  It was unique especially to have our very own Mission President there at the baptism and be able to bear his testimony about Baptism.  I loved how President Ashcraft talked about the difficulties that come after Baptism. Thay it does mean that Satan will try and tempt us and there is somewhat of a higher ...

We Begin with No. 2 Transfer

Image
Well, now I've done my first week of my second transfer!  I'm basically already a pro at this.  Although, this last transfer, we had 34 new missionaries come in (4 more than my transfer) and so some of the new missionaries that came in with me, are now training missionaries, while finishing up their own traning.  According to President Ashcraft, over half the mission has come in between June, and now.  So there is a lot a lot of new people, and so you kinda have to catch on pretty quick.   I took this picture because as of tomorrow, I will have officially put all of my paperwork in for VISA stuff, and now it's out of my hands thank goodness, and it's just all up to them.  But in the meantime, I'm happy to get used to the Brazilian Weather down here in Florida, hot and humid!   So the biggest change that came at transfers was obviously getting a new missionary in the house!  His name is Elder Bell!  He's from ...

I did it! Surviving my first transfer!

1 down!  One full transfer down!  That means I'm officially halfway through my training, and that means that there are going to be some changes coming up here soon.....exciting but scary!  So first, let me tell you about my week and how that was going.   First off, when we got home last night, I saw through our window that something was up.  I saw an overturned chair, and my first thought was, "Someone robbed us!"  We rushed in the house, and found that some other missionaries came in while we were out, and flipped all our chairs and couches.  And didn't do anything else.  Just flipped them, and left.  So that was a fun surprise.   There was a lot of things going on this week that were BIG.  So I basically have 3 BIG things that happened this week (or will continue to happen in the coming weeks I guess.)   Before I get into that, one smaller thing, I got the second email for my Brazil Visa...
