The Week of Natal 2021!

Ola tudo!!   FELIZ NATAL!!! Or if you don't speak Portugeuse, which is probably many of you, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!   This week has been an amazing one!!  There has been so many things we have done and of course we got to celebrate Natal!! We've also been so blessed to be able to see many miracles!   The first miracle was the baptism of Eduardo!  He is someone who the sisters in our ward found and taught, but they found out he lives in our area, so we actually got to work together to teach and help him make his first covenant with God, baptism!!  It was amazing, and he's such a sweet guy!  He always tells us we've got a friend in Brazil when we come down and visit again.  Another blessing is we went to his house to help him prepare to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  He had his mom and sister there, and they didn't know he was baptized!  It was really funny, cause he got this "Did I do that??" Kinda look on his face....

Walking, Giant Jesus, and Natal Conference!

Oi!!!   Okay, I am well aware that this is a week late, so this blog will include two weeks, because I began one last week but then I had a very busy P day as you will be able to read later on.   Week 1:  Well I've done it. I'm becoming a lot more comfortable. Still difficult, but comforting.  This last week has been a lot of firsts. First time finding someone on the street (Josias, and we gave him a Book of Mormon) my first district council (all in Portugeuse) and my first time going to the Christ Redentor!   The title is such because I have come to realize how much walking a missionary in Brazil has to do. Tuesday was our biggest walking day, because we had a member meal on the other side of a literal mountain.  Wanting to save money, we walked ...

Oi! Actually from Brazil!

Well, the time has come for the name of this blog to finally come to fruition!  I am currently writing this from the state of Rio de Janerio, Brazil!!!!  I'm actually here!  It's honestly been hard to believe it at times, but then I see things like Sugarloaf Mountain, or the Christ the Redeemer statue and realize, I can't really be anywhere else!   So!  I can kind of chronicle this last week for you, it's definetly been a lot to process, but it's been so exciting at the same time.  Some things will be harder to adjust, but other things I am quite excited for.   To begin, Tuesday-Thursday of last week were my last days in Florida.  It was nice because Tuesday was Zone Conference, so I was able to see all my friends, and trainers, and people I've met throughout the mission.  Because President and Sister Ashcraft had Zone Conferences all week, they took a picture with me then, and it was a sweet farewell.  I will miss ...
