Oi! From Brazil!

It has finally happened!! The miracle has happened!  2 weeks ago we had the wonderful privilege of being able to baptize Farhad and his family!   So I wanted to share some of the wonderful experiences that we had that led up to their baptism.  So first, when me and Elder Reis returned back into the area we finally were able to mark a visit with them to help them with their baptism. This was on a Wednesday. We sat down at a park and explained to them the importance of the commandments and obeying them.  They were so open to everything, and even though they didn't understand some things, they showed their faith in God and said they would stop immediately.  What faith! Then we flipped the script a little bit and asked them when they would like to be baptized.  They spoke to each other in Farshi for a little bit and then they said "The fastest time possible".  So we marked for that Sunday, so like 4 days later!   We d...

 Bom dia!!  Espero que todos estejam bem!  So I wanted to talk about the last half of my exchanges there in Caixas and the wonderful miracles that I was able to see.  Vamos lá!  So I spent some time on the Ilha do Governador, which literally translates to Governors Island.  About half of the small island is just dangerous favelas, so within three hours of being on the exchange I already saw a gun and a grenade.  But we had an amazing miracle when we received a media referral from a man named Janderson.  We marked and visited him and his first question was "Are you from the Mormon Church?"  We explained to him about the church, and he quickly responded "I was baptized in Niterói (my old area) 17 years ago.  I lost touch, but now I've found it."  He then explained the difficult situations and how he was wanting God and how he felt differently in our church then in any other that he went to.  We then got to meet his amazing family...
