Boa noite amigos e familia!
This is the last blog post that I will be writing here on the official Elder Moss blog. This blog entry will be more of a retrospective of the mission and my personal testimony of the things that I saw and experienced on my mission.
As to the end of my mission, I was able to spend a day on the 23nd going to the biggest favela in South America with my friend Elder Doller!! We got to go up to a giant lookout point and see the whole thing from above. At 11PM on June 23rd, me and 5 other American Elders stepped on a plane to leave behind our lives and hearts in Brasil. We traveled from Rio de Janerio to Miami, and then Miami to Dallas, and Dallas finally to Salt Lake City, Utah.
I was welcomed happily by my family and a few friends, and I was released later that night.
Now I wanted to take a minute to share some highlights and photos from the whole mission.
This missionary experience has been something that I was not prepared for. As much as I studied and physically prepared myself before the mission, I truly did not have a full idea of what I was getting myself into. However, this experience has changed me and molded me into a better disciple and follower of Jesus Christ, and I hope, molded me to be a better friend, and future husband and father and leader in the Church. To anyone who is on a mission, take advantage of all the chances you are given. To anyone who is on the fence or is not planning on serving, I would invite you to pray to Heavenly Father and act in faith. This mission will change your lives, and the lives of your family.
Throughout my mission I had the opportunity to work in 2 different missions with over 16 companions!!
Elder Draper (MTC), Elder Da Costa, Elder Grier, Elder Bell (Orlando, Florida) Elder De Oliveira, Elder MacDonald, Elder Hicken, Elder Nogueira, Elder Johnson, Elder Oliveira, Elder Reis, Elder Pedrosa, Elder Luke, Elder Serafim, Elder Lopes, and Elder Ebberts!! I wanted to share a photo of all of these amazing people that I had the chance to serve alongside!
This experience in Brasil changed everything about how I look at the world and how I understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is just an amazing gift. Jesus Christ has given us the greatest gift that we could ever imagine, salvation and eternal life. As I taught other people the joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I felt that same joy enter into my own life. I have felt such gratitude for the Cariocas (Rio Natives) and the many life lessons they have taught me.

I wanted to share my testimony on the truthfulness of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that this is His Church, led by His prophet. Russell M. Nelson is the person who is ordained and was prepared to receive revelation for our day. I know that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ, and they called him to restore the priesthood keys to the earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and that the principles and stories of the book can change the lives of anyone who takes the time to read and ponder it's teachings. I know these things, and I want to thank you all for your love, prayers and support. They have meant the world.
To those who are interested, I will have my homecoming in my ward on July 9th at 9 AM! All are invited, and there will be a reception at my house afterwards at 10 AM. The address of the church is 11632 S Night Heron Rd, South Jordan, UT 84009. And for any of you who are interested in meeting up and hanging out this summer, feel free to send an email and I'll send you my number.
I know that my mission is over, but it doesn't mean that the path of discipleship has ended. It was just another chapter in my story to become more like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
And these things I share, and this mission I share, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen
Elder Isaac Moss
