Received My Call! (Part 2??)

E aí meu amigos e familia!  This week has been a big difference from last week.  I've been getting a hang of the online scheduling and I've actually been learning a lot a lot of Portuguese!  It is extremely exciting, and the Lord has definitely been giving me so many blessings, but specifically the Gift of Tongues.

Now, you may be wondering, why is there a flag of Florida on this blog that is all about Brazil??  Well, Monday was a very exciting day.  In the evening, my companion, Elder Draper shared that he had gotten his temporary reassignment while waiting for visa things to work out.  He was called to the Arcadia, California Mission!!!  From there, everyone in our district began to get calls all over the states, and I got mine to....you guessed it....ORLANDOOOOO!  SEAWORLD, AND DISNEY, AND PUTT PUTT GOLFING!! (I've probably used that theatrical reference at least 20 times this week.  And yes it is the Disney mission.)  I am so excited to be able to serve there for a TBD amount of time, but I know however long it is, it is the Lord's timing and I trust it completely.

My District holding up all their state flags of their reassignments!!

It's kind of funny, the picture shows the different flags of the different places my whole district is called to.  We have 5 in California, 2 in Utah, 1 in Arizona, and 3 in Pennsylvania....and 1 in Florida.  Haha!  I just thought it was really funny how we've got so many in my district going to the west, and some in the northeast, and then lonely me in the south east corner of the USA.  But it's all good!! I'm so excited for all my district to go all across the world.

Cedar City Temple Run!
This week has just flown by compared to last week.  I truly believe that once I dived into it, it just came alive and starting running!! Sometimes it's a little scary to keep up, but it's all good, I haven't fallen far behind yet.  The amount of Portuguese I have learned in this amount of time is amazing, and me and my whole district agree.  They are amazing and all so supportive as we are all experiencing this all together.  My family has been down in Cedar City, UT this last week, and so I had to move my at home set up.  But this morning I had the wonderful opportunity to run to the Cedar City Temple and sit there as the sun rose.  It is a beautiful temple with a beautiful view.

Now, this week has been so wonderful on a spiritual level for me.  This week for me has been so focused on Jesus Christ.  Not just his gospel or church, but HIM!  As a person, his physical ministry.  I have been studying 3rd Nephi 11-27 and been seeing his hand in the life of the Nephites.   I testify that he is the "light and life" of my personal life, just as he is for the entire world and every single individual.  I also was able to rematch the Hill Cumorah Pageant  that my family was a part of, and see the scriptures come to life in a new way.  To see the loving touch of the Savior, his calm understanding.  And then I listened to Rob Gardner's Lamb of God album based on an awesome awesome recommendation. It was an inspired recommendation and it is amazing, go listen if you haven't yet.

And on that note, I'll end here, but I want to testify that Jesus is the Christ.  Ele é meu Salvador, Ele ama meu, e Ele ama todos vocês.  Nada é impossível com Ele.  Eu sei que essas coisas são verdadeiras.

(He is my Savior, He loves me, and He loves you too!  Nothing is impossible with Him.  I know these things to be true.)

P.S

I know you all were wondering what Elder Draper, my companion looks like!  Here he is!  He is an awesome and strong individual in the Gospel!  I very much appreciate the time I spend with him on our companion study.

Yes...my tag is backward...but I liked the pic.
