New Transfer and Exciting News!!!

Olá meu amigos e minha família também!!

Here we are, and we survived the first week of the transfer!  It's just been me and Elder Bell here at the house, and it has been a little bit of an adjustment to go from 3 in a house and companionship to only 2!  I'm now the driver and so it's become an ajudstment because Florida drivers are absolutely crazy!  Those of my friends who live in Utah may say that Utah drivers are crazy, no no, you haven't haven't Florida. I can't tell if it's the random body of water, or the tourists or what, but just, very scary some times.
I'm writing this on a Tuesday because our P day is actually today!  On Thursday's we help out with Bishop's Storehouse, which provides food for those less fortunate and less able to purchase it. So we always help, but with a large influx with Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving being on a Thursday means that we did it yesterday!  It felt SO weird to be waking up after Sunday and getting right back into the gear of things, and now my whole week is going to be a little off but...

Speaking of gratitude, it's Thanksgiving!  It is always important to give thanks and gratitude, but I'm happy we have a holiday that basically reminds us all to do it. So, one thing I did at district council was lead a gratitude activity!  So this is the Buena Ventura Gratitude Board, but we decided to do very specific things, things that are special to all of us, instead of somewhat more basic answers. My answer was "Hotel Room A/C + Warm Blanket"
I have loved being the district leader for this district. Each individual has shown me new ways to approach missionary work and has strengthened my testimony in many ways. I'll be sad to only be their leader for the next 9 days...

Which leads me to my next point...Thursday night after an absolutely amazing lesson with Mauro (more on him later) we got a call from President Ashcraft. He shared the news that I am approved and will be flying down to Rio de Janerio Brazil on the 2nd of December!!!!! AHHHHH I'm so very excited and so very nervous all at the same time. But I know this is all the Lord's timing and he will help me. It's nice to be able to talk to Elder Doller down in Rio, as he's been able to give me some helpful tips, I hope I'll be able to see him soon after I fly down.

So this week was definitely a slower one, except for 2 big things that were awesome!  First off is Mauro, he's going to be baptized this Sunday, and I'm so so grateful that I can be there for his baptism just barely!  He's amazing, he's already read all of 1st Nephi, and he is progressing and is so excited to be baptized. We got to have a lesson with our vehicle coordinator who speaks Portugeuse too!  He actually served in Rio de Janerio as well!  The picture isn't the best but.

Now he's back in Orlando, and we'll get to meet with him again in person tomorrow. He's amazing here's a picture he sent in Utah!
And then Miracle number 2. We had a lesson last night with a 15 year old kid who has had some trouble in the past.  He came to our friend Dominics baptism and expressed interest, but just stopped being home. As we went up to him, we saw he was with a friend, who we invited to listen to our lesson. We taught them about the gospel and the importance of baptism.  I asked them how they felt, and they both said it felt like we were sent from God...well, he's kinda right. But we ended up extending a baptismal invitation to both of them for the 15th of January and they both accepted!!!  Crazy miracle that his friend was there and is accepting of our message!!! I feel very blessed.

Now, it is the time of Thanksgiving. Let's give thanks!! Send messages to those you are grateful for!  Do kind deeds. Serve others!  Let the world be filled with Gratitude. I'm grateful for every one of you that has helped me and supported me to be out here. I'm grateful for my Heavenly Father and his gospel and the Book of Mormon and the Bibel.  I'm grateful for the companions and the district I have here!  I'm grateful for you all!

Alma 26:11
11 But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.
